Give the lasting gift! Sponsor a sterilisation

Uncontrolled breeding leads to thousands of unwanted cats and dogs in South Africa. In Langebaan, we are thankful for Saldanha Bay Municipality who updated their Public Nuisance and Keeping of Animals By-law, requiring all dogs and cats, 6 months and older, to be sterilised.

Although this by-law makes it illegal to have unsterilised dogs and cats over the age of 6 months, it does not solve the problem of owners who cannot afford the sterilization costs. Langebaan Animal Care is and has been helping these owners with getting their pets sterilised. For this service, however, we need the necessary funds.

You can now give the lasting gift of sterilisation by sponsoring a cat or dog for this procedure. Not only will it improve the general health of the animal, it will also minimize the chances of cancer of the male and female reproductive organs, curb roaming, fighting and sexual transmitted diseases and most importantly, it will prevent unwanted litters.

To sponsor an animal, you can donate directly into LAC’s bank account. We are grateful for any donations to this cause, every little bit helps.

If you would like to donate via our website, please go to our donations page: Donations

To sponsor one of these procedures, use the banking details below, with the reference Sterie.
